King James Who?

Postby Weemaryanne » Mon May 30, 2016 3:33 pm

RawStory.com picked up an International Business Times story about someone publishing yet another version of the Bible:

Desperate Christians Try Luring Millennials to Faith with Emoji Bible

First reaction: So much for the timeless power and majesty of the KJV.

Second reaction: Is there an emoji that captures -- or even suggests -- the look on Isaac's face when he realized he was not going to die at his crazy father's hand? Is there one that explains why Joseph went ahead with his marriage to Mary after she insisted her baby had been fathered by a supernatural being? Could mere pixels even hint at the complexities behind these stories? What do they use in place of I wash my hands of this man's blood -- one of these? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Who knows? Just as there are Christians who claim the King James version is the only true version of the Bible, perhaps some will claim the same for the Emoji Bible.

Wow way to completely not understand millennials.
