I love that quote. It's one I stumbled on in a Skeptical Inquirer back in the the mid 90's when I was going to Red Deer College. It's one of those quotes you kinda have to think about for a second to get. It's not pithy, but it's totally cool, so I memorized it and haven't forgotten it for the last 20 years or so. I have to do an internet search when I want to use it in writing, because I can't be sure I'm quoting it exactly, and I want to get it right.

Oddly, I have never read anything by Edwin Way Teale, the guy who came up with it. I'll have to do that sometime.
