SMRT: The Next Step

Postby Whateverman » Sat Oct 08, 2011 11:03 pm

At this point, we have enough votes to justify keeping our humble forum running!

We (the Admins/developers) haven't built anything funky, so for the time being, I'll ask that you use the PayPal link at the old Raytractors blog:

I think this goes without saying, but we're a group of people who like doing this. If you're uncomfortable with donating, don't. Really. There's no scorecard; no one is going to know who chipped in or who did not. If you can't afford anything, that's fine. If you can, we'd welcome it.

If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask publicly or privately. I'll do my best to keep everyone aware of how much is in the account as the days move forward. The deadline is October 23.

The good news: we've got $8.50 leftover from our last move!

The bad news: we need ~$100 for another years, and ~$250 for another three years.

Alrighty, done. Since it seems there are few people around, I didn't go mental. But I can do more later if we need it.

Done! I donated $20 seeing as we had 18 or so people keen to donate that should be fine to cover a couple who are strapped too, but let me know if we fall short.

Here's to many more SMRT years!

As someone who only recently unconverted, this site has been very useful.

I'm a poor college student now, so I'll look at my budget and see if I can't toss in anything.

I was not going to chip in since I decided to slowly drift away from this world of online religious discussion, but reading a comment like this one by Azou makes me want to contribute, and I just like reading what some of you write over here anyway. So, this one is on me buddy, 20 for you, 20 for me. But... what will you do with the extra by the way? Not that I am worried, just curious...

Cheers!
