Defining a Christian Doctor

Postby Happy Humanist » Tue May 05, 2009 1:48 pm

This definition of a Christian Doctor from the pages of the Journal of Biblical Ethics in Medicine is one of the most disturbing things I've ever read:

It's long, but worth the read. I almost died at the hands of a Christian doctor who incorporated some of these principles into his practice.
No Mr. Ham, the Flintstones is not a documentary.

"Polymath" means "having learned much"; the correct word for "having failed to learn much" is simply "Ray".

Well my day suddenly got busy thanks to a power outage. But I just got too this line:

It does not matter that the best epidemiologic studies have shown only a marginally beneficial effect of medicine on longevity and health.

They should remove his license to practice now. He is beyond retarded.

Seeing the name Rushdoony in the notes was enough for me. I live fairly close to Pittsburgh. I wish it said what hospital he's affiliated with, so I could avoid it. I'd rather have House.

That was a disturbing read. If a doctor started preaching to me, I would ask immediately for a new doctor. That's totally inappropriate for someone in the medical profession who has to deal with people of all religious backgrounds. It would be like me going around telling all my patients that god doesn't exist. That's not my job, and it's not appropriate, especially in life or death situations.

I almost died at the hands of a Christian doctor who incorporated some of these principles into his practice.

Care to explain?

Keep in mind, folks: this thread was brought back from the dead. It's 18+ months old.
