I mostly missed Queen the first time around- it was the period when I never listened to radio and only bought Early Music recordings.

But I'm making up for it now. Queen was fantastic.

And now for something a wee bit different:

The spotlight was always on Angus Young, but Malcom Young may have been the best rhythm guitarist ever.

ACDC!
I've never been a gang person, I've always gone my own way and done my own thing and owed no allegiance to any particular idea. Because of this, as a self made outlier, I was allowed to tag on to a variety of various fan groups. So long as I didn't cause any fuss and was willing to listen to their obsessive talk, while tossing in the odd agreement, I was welcome and could fit any anywhere.
At one time, I joined in with some heavy rockers. They played this kind of stuff up loud and drank cider and got on their knees while head-banging furiously and playing air guitar. Didn't do any substances though. It was there I gained my love of ACDC and their ilk, and it's never gone.
Now I think back, we met in one of the parent's terraced house. Not long after the family were evicted. I'm not surprised. The music was bloody loud and the behaviour of the denim clad cider drinking rockers were obnoxious despite not actually intended to offend.
Still, this does take me back. Thank you, Rufus.

I never liked the Eagles but I do like Don Henley and this song just keeps getting more and more appropriate.

And it came out way back in 1981. Very prescient.

Was there ever a better front man than mercury? It's hard to say there was...

There were other groups with great songs too, but Mercury had an amazing voice as well.

It's a cold grey Saturday afternoon with some snow flying around outside. Watching a few movies from the "Resident Evil" franchise. For some reason I like watching a beautiful woman kicking a whole bunch of zombie ass.
