Probelms

A place for members to help other members with questions about how to navigate the forums, how to post, ect. Feel free to make suggestions here as well.

Yes, we can all read the FAQ, but sometimes the question either isn't covered or it just makes more sense coming from a fellow member.

First HH, and now the_ignored are having problems getting onto the site. Any ideas?

This is probably due to corrupted files causing database syncing issues.

Ignored has a new username he has used (the_new_ignored) that should work.

The permanent corrective action is to have someone update or reinstall the phpBB version.

So, how to fix it?

if it happens to the admins, the board could become rogue and need to be hunted down before it could become self-aware.

Well someone needs to do a file update/restore.
To do that you're gonna need cpanel to do a DB back-up and get access to filemanager to extract a new batch of phpBB files.

MacG knows all the admin pws (the DB ones being most important here imo), but I'm not sure he's handed them over to anyone.

I say we slay it before it's too late and resort to paper-based correspondence.

Fancy shmancy, aren't we? What's wrong with good old fashioned smoke signals?

Greenhouse gas emissions too. At least we could use recycled paper with our snail mail.
