The site has been dying completely (not just the daily database time out) frequently today. Any idea what's up?

500 Server Error

A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup. Check the server logs, fix the problem, then try again.

WEM or vms please get the services restarted I'm fairly sure you can do this via cpanel.

Given this is a 500 I'm guessing its the server itself.
Can you restart apache? Might be worth restarting MySQL too.
