These people are, without a doubt, absolutely incredible.

To give you one example
Once Abagnale was imprisoned, he convinced his guards that he was actually an undercover prison inspector and that he needed the privilege of having an unsupervised meeting with his FBI agent contact. Yeah, they bought it.
If perchance I have offended, think but this, and all is mended, that you have but slumbered here, while a vision did appear. A Midsummer Night's Dream

Benny Hinn clips always slay me. That guy, say what you will, took bullshit to such a cocky level it's hilarious.
With a name like Smucker's, it has to be god.

It's hilarious until it's sad. Hinn has elevated swindling the poor, sick, and lonely to a high art. He knows his demographic target and he shoots for the bull. Televangelism is like a pyramid scheme in that the people at the top are doing fabulously, and the disenfranchised think they can get a piece of that.

If not in this life, then in the next for sure. You have to be a real piece of work to cheat those who can least afford it, but they are the usual target, as in this case:

In 2001, the Haitian population fell prey to Ponzi schemers offering rates up to 15%. The outfits, called "cooperatives", appeared to be implicitly backed by the government and became wildly popular in the population at large, who felt safe since the co-ops were openly advertising in the radio and TV ads using Haitian pop stars as spokespeople. It is estimated that more than $240 million was swindled from investors, equivalent to 60% of the country's government budget.
You were born. And so you're free. So happy birthday.
