Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

I tried to upload a photo and got this message "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
Are most of the photos posted here linked from other sites? What site would you use to store pictures to link to the forum?

Is there anyway to increase our attachment quota?

Thanks!

For posting personal photos, I use photobucket. It's free and easy. But more internet savvy people than I probably know other possibilities.

A better way to phrase the question is, how do I post an image now that uploading to the forum is no longer available?

Use a service like photobucket (I use tinypic) and then link to it using the url or img tags.

Though when an admin notices this topic they might be able to work out what is going on.

I don't understand this. Do you mean that you, Milo, have reached some kind of quota? That each of us has a quota? I upload a lot of attachments. Like this one;

that's not an attachment, you've just linked to something hosted somewhere else. an attachment is something you upload to the forum for us to host locally.

Thanks. I don't have anything that is vital that needs posting, but I'll look into some of the sites mentioned.

Here's a pic I took last year on my hike in Salzburg, linked to photobucket:

I like to use imgur- just drag and drop a pic- hit download- boom.

Then, use the "img" button above and between the brackets pate the URL o the pic.

There's many ways to do it.

Imgur was designed from the ground up to be copy pasta image sharer. I love it. You can even get browser plugins to make it even easier.
